SHIPLOG INSTRUMENTS was founded in 2022 in Berlin by two infrastructure engineers tired of writing release notes in Notion and copy-pasting them into Mailchimp. We believe the changelog is one of the most under-engineered surfaces in modern product development.
Every customer-facing release is an act of communication, measurement, and trust. It deserves the same rigor we apply to deploys, observability, and incident response.
We do not believe in feature factories. We do not believe in growth hacks. We do believe in writing tools that engineers respect — tools that hold up under load, expose their internals, and never lock you in.
We treat changelog publishing as we treat database writes: with sub-second latency targets, audit trails, and idempotency guarantees.
Every byte you put into SHIPLOG can be exported in standard formats. NDJSON, Markdown, SQL. Your data is portable.
Postgres, Redis, S3. No NoSQL fashion. No homebrew consensus protocols. Boring tools that hold up at 3 AM.
You see what we see. Internal dashboards exposed to enterprise customers. Honest postmortems within 72 hours.
